Pupils may join Marsden Junior School in Year 3, from the September following their seventh birthday, and stay at the school for four years, leaving at the end of Year 6. We are a two-form entry school; this means the number of children that can be admitted into Year 3 is 60.

All applications for an in-year admission to The MJS must be made on the Kirklees In-year Common Application Form (ICAF) available from the Academy. This form is available on the Kirklees Council Website: http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/beta/admissions/pdf/in-year-admissions.pdf together with a booklet explaining the process.

The completed form is then sent directly to The MJS.
