Design and Technology involves children developing their knowledge, skills and the understanding necessary to design, make and evaluate products fit for purpose. The teaching of Design and Technology will enable children to use their creativity and imagination, to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs. They will be encouraged to become innovators and risk-takers working as individuals and in teams to design, create and evaluate, using a wide range of materials and practical skills.
